Irvine C. Porter
Considered a preeminent authority on municipal
law, corporations, estates, and trusts in the State of
Alabama. Mr. Porter specialized in representing
municipalities and other public entities for over 50
years. Mr. Porter was a competitive shooter earning the
Distinguished Marksman Badge. He served as the President
of the NRA and on its Executive Council. Mr. Porter
served for over twenty years on the National Board for
the Promotion of Rifle Practice, which oversaw the
Department of Civilian Marksmanship. Mr. Porter served
as counsel to the firm until his death in June of
1995.
